What has everyone been up to?

Not the most easiest this do do but first aid i think is the best i work in red cross and we always need more members.

Because Erika is now in full time school I am supposed to be looking for work but have no qualifications.

So the more courses I do the more I get.

I'm still not 100% sure what I want to do yet but I know what I dont want to do.

Problem in the UK is we have to many low paid jobs that no one wants and all the time we let others from over sea's come here the less jobs there is for us so you end up taking the low wage pay and then cant support your kids or pay your rent and put good food in your kids tummy's

well I really do Hope you get a good job as you have kids to support

Kids have gone to Sheffield for the week so its a week off for me.  Hmm I wish still to attend courses and job search club so no time to myself.

Housesitting at the weekend for my brother.

Apart from work and recovering from a night shift, went out yesterday warm in the sun where it was sheltered.

cleaning up some codes in the forum to make them run faster and in order to what members are doing ..

Kids came home yesterday.

Got threatened by job centre that because I still dont have a job yet tey are going tostop my money.

Told them i hve been applying for jobs and getting told becauase I dont have the qualifications for that job they wont even offer an interview.  When I ask about training they say bbecasue I'm over 25 I dont qualify.

Ever feellike no mater how hard you try you just get nowhere?

I have been through that myself, even though I do Bank work for NHS the hours are not guaranteed so I have to claim JSA if I work less than 16 hours a week. Job Centre still wants me to apply for jobs even though I feel I am not qualified to apply for them.
Doing courses at college helps to keep them off my back, there is always one jobs worth at the Job Centre who has to try to justify their job by being a complete A Hole. One where I am wanted me to sell my flat that I am renting out to have more money instead of claiming JSA which stops after six months

When i was out of work i was lucky as i have a good network of friends that look out for me.

I was on JSA for all of 2 weeks then got a part time job in a office fixing things.

6 weeks later i got a call from a good friend of my wifes saying there was a job going with Virgin.

I then called them up and told them to send me what i needed 9 weeks later they called me in and asked what i did for a living before looking for a job with them.....

Funny part......

I said i was in print and lost my job down to print was moving up to leeds and could not go all that way to work .

The said so why you looking for a job in computer tech.

My reply to that was ( It's a job that pays well )

they said are you willing to go on a course to get to know our systems and the things you will need to know about what we do here at virgin.

I was like as long as i get a wage then yeah why not LOL

1 day later they called me and said we like your way of thinking and would like to offer you the job.

But that was not the end of it..

On my first day i walked in to the office al happy but sort of worried aswell as it was my first day and this guy Tom come up and says hello and then told me i had a office all of my own. Woop Wopp.

But i was not on my own there was more computers and laptops i have ever seen in my life all sitting there ready for me to make good of them

He then told me if i need anything to call down to ground floor room 5 and some one will come up and see me.....

I just got on with looking over the problem sheets of all the computers and got down to it.

4 years later im still there but now im the boss of one other member of staff and what i say goes.

Yes there has been some really hard times and there will be more to come i know there will be.

but hang in there they can't leave you with no money to live on and you have kids so they have to support you in some other way.

i have done nothing all day and will still be doing nothing until i go to bed tonight LOL DAY OFF YAAAAA

Lots of screen caps for my new site, also been taking cuttings from the garden of plants that we will grow in the greenhouse. Then transplant elsewhere in the garden in a couple of months. Still not worked out what to do with the space between gardens of ours and the neighbours. The last big storm we had knackered the 40 year old fence we had which was being kept up by the ivy.
