Boobed On Original Skin

Hello Bob and Jenny 

I am afraid I have Boobed on the original Weather Forum that you spent ages on.

There was and error in the editor, that when you moved the mouse over the wording for Description and the box would disappear as it was black. I went back into Skins Management to restore to an earlier skin, and all your work has been lost.

The buttons are there, however I tried to correct the editor colour problem.I remember you said that the skin was the problem as it was Navy and white.

I have saved the buttons and header, and reverted back to an earlier version of the skin so you can see.
However I have found that any changes do not last as the board changes to another version of skin which I have had in the past.  Finally, pages of post goes white when moving mouse over the number of pages even though they are blue. 
Any ideas    I am sorry and apologise for the Boob

Sadly we do not have time to redo the skin.
you can do a full theme backup using the founders tools Forum Utilities
Now that should put your skin back to how it was before you changed anything.

After the theme / skin is back then maybe i can help a little on the bugs found on the CSS files.

right now me and jenny have a lot of family problems so this can take some time to get on here and help you thou.

Not to worry Bob and Jenny,

I have changed the background to a lighters shade of blue, to stop the writing in the editor toolbar from disappearing. 

All the best with the family that takes priority as I know myself.

Same old problem of skin changing itself and would not go back to a skin from a year ago. However yesterday I changed it to a different skin, using the same buttons and just changed the middle skin colour.

I spent ages looking for the email that confirmed the account, also I could not find the founders tools and Forum Utilities. It used to be on the first page of the Admin Panel in the yellow area however this seems to have disappeared. I have looked in the Admin Panel I am unable to find this just like the confirmation e-mail.

Its not a real problem at least I found a skin that is behaving itself and changed the buttons.

Hello Bob and Jenny,

Thank you for the help on the Admin panel, I am trying to repair the damage from over two years ago
when the skin changed itself overnight. The skin I have now is behaving itself and seems to work with the
additional changes Skouliki, SLGray and yourself have advised.

I seem to be missing the founders tools on all my sites   I had my BT email account compromised
twice in the past three years. A lot of personal things seem to have gone missing in the private folders I created. Is it possible to look back in the account records on Forumotion

Sadly we can't see any tools that will help you on this matter Sorry we only have basic tools from them.

did you try and do a backup from the founders tools as this will do most backups of your skin you used before but any new change will be lost.

No I do not remember doing that, I have re-registered my cassinitestsite again but not using the new e-mail account. I will set up that with all the changes on my Cassini Captures site as a double including the buttons(you done) icons header(by Skouliki). So if the skin plays up again I will not lose everything.
The skin is by The Crow number 38 on hit skin,still a mystery how a skin can change over night

You know you can do a back up of your CSS files and you can also save your codes to your computer?

Thanks Ape, as I mentioned in your thread relating to your proposed change of theme.
I would like to learn how to create my own skin without just changing background colours. The trouble I have
is that the original colour comes first for a split second then reverts back to the colour change.

When making a change if you add  rule of

Code: !important

at the end then it should fix it if not then just look to see if you have a code the same rule in your CSS files so say you have a profile Verb/ Rule try and remove them all and add the rule in one code.

 HINT: Always look for the code before adding the new one to your CSS files.
